Approximately 90 Air Travels Linked to Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from British Airports
A review has uncovered that approximately 90 flights linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have touched down at and left British airports, with some allegedly carrying women from the UK who assert they were abused by the convicted sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Pattern of Movement
The travel manifests were part of a trove of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the past year. The review identified 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein ā featuring many that were hitherto undisclosed ā arriving or departing from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unidentified women were documented among the travelers entering and exiting the UK. Crucially, 15 of these British airport journeys happened following Epsteinās 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a minor.
āIt was āappallingā that there had never been a āthorough probe in the UKā into his activities in the country,ā said US lawyers acting for hundreds of Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epsteinās accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. Yet, that survivor has never been contacted by British law enforcement, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the the Met stated they had ānot received any new information that would support restarting the investigation.ā They noted, āIf fresh and pertinent information be brought to our attention, including any resulting from the release of material in the US, we will evaluate it.ā
Continuing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release all files held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of files are anticipated to be made public.
Additionally, a US judge ordered last week that the DOJ could publicly release case files from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinās close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
