FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
