Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A spokesman for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour towards women.

The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
